Tokyo Trip: Lost And Found
From www.ChopStork.com
Information you guys might need. And this being the internet and all, you'll never lose it.
The address: American Embassy Housing Compound address removed
Phone from Tokyo: removed from other places in Japan: removed from U.S.: removed
If you get lost...
and you're near a subway: Find a way to get to Roppongi station on the gray (Hibiya) line. You can also use Roppongi-itchome on the blue-green (Nanboku) line or Akasaka on the dark green (Chiyoda) line, if you remember how to get home from those stations.
and you have no clue: Hop in a cab and try
1) "American Embassy Compound onegaishimasu." They will probably have no clue. 2) "America taishikan SHUKUSHA onegaishimasu." They might know it... If you don't make sure they understood the SHUKUSHA part, you'll end up at the Embassy itself, instead of the compound. 3) If they don't know where the Shukusha (housing compound) is, you can describe that it's between Roppongi and Tameike; turn in at the gas station. "Roppongi kousaten to Tameike no aida, gasu sutando o haitta tokoro." 4) Just ask them to take you to the Roppongi intersection and walk from there. "Roppongi kousaten."
The bus is another alternative (if you're in Shibuya, this is the way to go), but I forget what number and I don't know the system.
I'll put more here if I think of it.
