Where We Stayed
From Roppongi Hills looking towards Roppongi Intersection, the compound (home), Ark Hills, the Diet building, and the Imperial Palace (left); between Roppongi and Tokyo Tower (middle); Tokyo Tower with Rainbow Bridge, Daiba, and Tokyo Bay in the distance (right). pictures from http://tokyoyakei.cool.ne.jp.
Mori has a cool website on central Tokyo. They had this picture from 1967 of the Tanimachi intersection in front of the compound. This is the same highway intersection near the top of the first picture above - on the left you can see the old compound. As seen from the compound, the highway intersection and Roppongi Hills. Also here's a picture of Roppongi intersection in 1930.
