Where to Find Dry Ice
For our 2005 Urban Iditarod "LABraDorks" theme, we needed dry ice (smoking laboratory). Baskin Robbins was useless. The friendly folks at It's-It Ice Cream were kind enough to point me to their supplier, Airgas Dry Ice in South San Francisco. So, if you need dry ice, that's where to go.
They're at 315 Harbor Way, open till 4pm weekdays (not sure about weekends). 25 lbs minimum for $13.50. 25lbs is a 10x10x6 inch block...lasts 3 days.
Some of their northern peninsula retailers:
United Liquor & Deli
2401 Chestnut St., San Francisco, CA
415-567-0580.
Open till 1am.
SF Ice
45 Williams Ave, San Francisco, CA
415-671-1055
Open till 5pm weekdays.
Molly Stones in San Mateo
Safeway in Belmont
Albertsons in San Carlos, Redwood City, and possibly others. Albertsons is our friend, by the way, because they also carry PBRL. Bev Mo does not.
