First you need to know that Edo, or Ooedo, is the old school name for Tokyo (like Constantinople became Istanbul … or something). Lake Biwa (”Biwa-ko”) is the biggest lake in Japan. And according to wikipedia it’s also the world’s 3rd oldest lake. The performers are a for-realz traditional japanese “band”.
