Bay to Breakers—the carts
May 11th, 2006 by some dudeAh, great minds think alike—Armen, we’ve been working on the cow cart idea. Our first idea for a cart was a barn. But we need an alcohol delivery system. Thought about a trough on the barn, but sharing drinks from an open-air trough wasn’t appetizing. Plus that’s just begging for someone to pee in our drink. Carrying bottles of Boone’s is out cuz we dont’ want broken glass. One idea was to have a chicken with its head cut off, and the drink would squirt out of it’s neck like blood. But then Luke suggested drink coming out of cow udders. And why not make it an entire cart? After some group brainstorming, here are the plans. We’ll have both a barn and a cow cart.

To avoid lots of people asking “why is the cow upside down?” you could just make it right side up.. then the tubes could come down out of the udders and it would be a lot more recognizable as a cow

A) She’s passed out drunk off Boone’s Farm.
B) She’s been tipped.
C) She’s on her back for you.
D) All of the above.
Her being easily recognized as a cow is important, I agree. We’ll see how it works out when we try to put it together. Cow costume/stuffed animal, anyone? Anyone?

I have a huge stuffed moose, but that’s the wrong color… I’ll go to the Goodwill today, maybe some kid ditched their stuffed cow. Otherwise we stick Luke into a cow costume and make him sit in the cart.

Sorry, no luck. How about a cardboard cow; we could paint it and attach it to either side of the cart; cover the top of the cart with fabric cow “belly”, and put the udder on top?
